Hi there! My name is Audrey, but I go by Kayana on social media.

Since I’m a bit shy about sharing my creations, I’ve embraced this “double persona” approach to help me step out of my comfort zone 🫣.

I chose this name because it means “Follow the flame of your heart,” which perfectly captures the journey that brought Kayana Illustrations to life.

🇫🇷 I’m French and spent several years living abroad, working for an international company—first in Sydney, Australia, and then in Boston, USA. While my career seemed to be thriving, I often felt unfulfilled in my 9-to-5 job. When the pandemic struck, I had to return to France due to visa constraints, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise. It gave me the opportunity to take a leap of faith, stay in France, and finally pursue my dream of creating art.

💕 It all began with my Etsy shop, Blue Moonlight Design, where I started sharing my artwork.

🔥 Within a year, I made over 1,200 sales—a milestone that showed me I could truly turn my passion into a career. Though that chapter closed when my shop was deactivated, it led me to start fresh and build Kayana Illustrations from the ground up.

🎨 I’m a self-taught illustrator with a love (or perhaps obsession!) for books. 📚 They inspire so much of my work, and I learn and grow in my craft every single day. The journey has been full of ups and downs, but I couldn’t feel more grateful to be doing what I love.
